Common questions
What if my bike won't start at all?
That's not a problem. Most motorcycles are pushed up the low-angle ramp rather than ridden up under their own power, so the bike does not need to be running to be loaded. Where a motorcycle cannot be pushed normally, such as after certain types of accident damage, with a missing wheel or where the steering is locked, we can use the winch and other appropriate loading equipment.
Do you recover scooters and mopeds, not just motorcycles?
Yes — we recover scooters and mopeds as well as motorcycles, using the appropriate loading equipment for the condition of the bike.
How much will it cost?
Every recovery is priced on distance, your bike's condition, and urgency. We'll give you a clear price before we set off — never a surprise on arrival.
What areas do you cover?
Glasgow-based, covering Glasgow, Edinburgh, Lanarkshire, Ayrshire, Stirling, and the rest of Scotland by arrangement, with recovery and transport elsewhere in Scotland and throughout the rest of the UK by arrangement.
Is my bike insured while it's with you?
Yes. Ark Road Recovery is insured for loading and unloading motorcycles and for transporting them during the recovery or transport service.
